About Freo Pay
It’s your go-to shop now, pay later app. You can get accepted for an amount of up to ₹10,000, which you can use at any store.
Anybody between the ages of 22-58 can use Freo Pay. Download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, sign up, complete the steps to activate your account, and get up to ₹10,000 from Freo Pay.
You can use it at any place that lets you pay by scanning a UPI QR code! You can transact using Freo Pay by scanning the QR code at any outlet and enjoy your purchase, on us! You can repay all your expenses within 30 days at 0% interest. The best part is that you just need to pay one bill!
Well, that depends on a couple of things. We consider a lot of factors before approving you for Freo Pay, such as your income, credit history, repayment behaviour, and a few other factors. Currently, Freo Pay issues up to ₹10,000 following a detailed review.
When you sign in and begin creating your account, you’ll have to enter a valid PAN and upload a selfie. We might also ask you for your Aadhaar details, so do keep it handy.
The ‘Scan & Pay’ feature is how you use Freo Pay. When you shop at a physical store, they’ll have a UPI QR code. To pay at the shop, first open Freo Pay and click on ‘Scan & Pay’ from the home screen. Next, scan the merchant’s QR code, enter the amount you have to pay, and finally verify the transaction by entering your Freo Pay PIN. The amount will be deducted from your Freo Pay amount and your payment will be done.

Yes, you can! You will need the latest version of the Freo Pay app to do so. Please make sure you update it using the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
You can only use Freo Pay for outgoing transactions. Therefore, you will not be able to receive money from your friends and family towards your Freo Pay amount.
Since Freo Pay is a shop now, pay later app, you can use it only for merchant transactions. You cannot withdraw money from your Freo Pay app.
“If you’d like to refill your Freo Pay amount, you can do so within the app itself. Open the Freo Pay app; if you’re paying your bill early, then on the home screen, under your photograph and available amount, you’ll see a box that declares the amount of money you’ve spent out of your amount. Click on Settle bill > Settlement. Under the Settle bill section, click Pay. Or, choose a custom amount, then click Proceed to pay.
If you’re paying once your bill is generated, then go to the home screen. Under your photograph and available amount, you’ll see a box that shows: ‘name_of_the_month’ statement is generated. Here, click on View > Settlement. Then you can clear your bill amount.”
Interest And Charges Related Queries
Yes, it is! You can enjoy your approved Freo Pay amount for a 30-day interest-free period, after which you’ll have to pay your dues on time. If you repay your bills by the 5th of every month, you’ll not be charged interest.
If you repay your due amount in the Freo Pay app before the 30-day time period, there are no additional charges. The amount due will include transactions done between the 1st to the end of the month. There’s a 30-day interest-free period, which may vary based on the date of the transaction.
In case you don’t repay the bill of a specific month by the 5th of the next month, Freo Pay will temporarily suspend your transactions. Apart from that, you’ll be charged a late fee of ₹30 + GST per day of missed payment after the 5th. This is capped at ₹900 per billing cycle, after which you’ll be charged GST of 18% on your total late fee amount.
A convenience fee of up to 5% (+GST on the convenience fee amount) will be applicable on the amount used during the month. This shall be payable at the time of repayment of dues. You can check your convenience fee on the app.
Account Related
Uh-oh! There could be a number of reasons for not being able to create a Freo Pay account. One of the most likely causes is that our servers may be under maintenance. The only thing you can really do is wait for a while and then try again in a few hours!

It looks like your Aadhaar Number may have been flagged. Unfortunately, you’ll not be able to make any transactions. We may have to reevaluate this from our end to be absolutely sure. Please write to our team at hello@freopay.com mentioning your registered email ID as well as your phone number along with a scanned copy of your Aadhaar card attached to the email as well. We’ll look into this at the earliest.
Your account may have been blocked due to an internal policy. Please write to our team at hello@freopay.com mentioning your registered email ID and phone number.
“We are so sorry to hear that! If you’re unhappy with the Freo Pay app, please tell us what didn’t work for you at hello@freopay.com We’d like a chance to improve your experience. If you still wish to delete your Freo Pay account, all you have to do is pay off your dues and uninstall the app from your phone. Use any of the following ways:
1. Long-press on the Freo Pay app icon > Click on the app info button > Press Uninstall
2. Go to your phone settings > Go to Apps & notifications > Freo Pay App info > Press Uninstall
3. Open the Google Play Store. Search for Freo Pay. Press ‘Uninstall’.
4. Open the Apple App Store. Search for Freo Pay. Press ‘Uninstall’.
The approval of your Freo Pay depends on many things. Two of them are credit history and repayment behaviour. Our team carefully reviews your application and if it does not match certain criteria, your profile may get rejected. Don’t worry; you can still reapply after 3 months from your last application date.

Transaction Related
This is possibly occurring due to technical issues. Please write to our team at hello@freopay.com attaching screenshots of the error you’re seeing on the app. Do mention your registered email ID and phone number. We’ll help you out as soon as possible.
We have enabled peer to peer transactions in the latest version of the app. Please update your Freo Pay app to enable the feature.

Repayment
If you don’t repay your bill by the 5th of a month, Freo Pay will temporarily suspend your transactions. Plus, you’ll be charged a late fee of Rs. 30 + GST of 18% per day of missed payment after the 5th. This is capped at Rs. 900 per billing cycle along with 18% GST on your total late fee amount. That’s why we encourage you to repay by the due date.

You’ll get charged a heavy late fee. Besides that, the Freo Pay collections team will get in touch with you to sort out your repayment. If you delay that as well, we’ll have to send you a legal notice. This is why we encourage you to not delay, and repay on time.

Refund
Please write to our team at hello@freopay.com
- Attach a screenshot of the transaction on your Freo Pay app. This must include the date of transaction, transaction reference ID, and the amount
- Mention your registered email ID and phone number
- Find the refund reference number. You’ll receive this through an SMS or email. If you cannot find it, ask the merchant to look for this reference number on their payment app.
- Once you have this information, please send us the reference number with relevant screenshots to hello@freopay.com.

“This error generally occurs when you’ve already registered with the app, and you try to register again with a different email ID and phone number but the same PAN. The error message should include the last four digits of the previously registered phone number.
